Threat Intelligence
Cyber Threat Intelligence Division
The Cyber Threat Intelligence Division delivers continuous monitoring and proactive threat awareness to state agencies, county and municipal governments, public schools, and community colleges across North Carolina.
Our mission is simple: identify risks early, provide timely intelligence, and help our partners stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.
What We Do
Internet Exposure Assessments
We identify and assess externally facing systems to uncover potential vulnerabilities before they are exploited. This includes researching exposed credentials and monitoring publicly available indicators, including social media activity, that could increase organizational risk.
Continuous Threat Monitoring
Our team monitors threat intelligence feeds, databases, and reporting platforms daily. We track threat actor activity, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), along with emerging trends, to deliver timely alerts and actionable insights that support proactive mitigation.
Training and Outreach
We conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, tabletop exercises, and awareness briefings in collaboration with partner organizations. Our goal is to strengthen cyber readiness across North Carolina by equipping teams with relevant, current threat intelligence and practical defensive strategies.
